Final Project

Objective: You will create a series of 3 designs that will showcase your talents using both Photoshop and Illustrator. The subject will be anything "close up". You must take a photo within 1 foot of the subject. All 3 designs must correlate and you must be able to identify the focal point. All 3 designs must have the same dominant art principle of design.
Final Presentation to the Class, written assessments, research and files will be graded.
Description: The goal is to create a series of 3 designs using at least 5 techniques from both Photoshop and Illustrator (total of 10 techniques). You will complete a proposal and evaluation that will include write up of the tools and techniques used.

Part I:
Proposal
Open a Microsoft Word Document and title it Proposal and put your name in the top right corner. Copy and paste the information below and then please answer questions 1-5 in complete sentences and include the document sizes, dpi, and color mode for the projects you will create. Print the document when you are finished and turn in.
The proposal is due on May 29th

Evidence of skills and tools used in Photoshop and Illustrator
  1. Write a paragraph on how you will use at least five tools and techniques from each application (Photoshop and Illustrator).
Part II:
Designs & Reflections
You will create a series of 3 designs that will showcase your talents using both Photoshop and Illustrator. The subject will be anything "close up". You must take a photo within 1 foot of the subject. All 3 designs must correlate and you must be able to identify the focal point. All 3 designs must have the same dominant art principle of design.

All 3 designs are due at the conclusion of your exam session.

Your Designs must be complete and uploaded to Edmodo with reflections and all 3 files must be placed in the drop box by the conclusion of your exam session.

Reflection Requirements (for each design)
  • 100 word minimum paragraph (please spell check in Microsoft Word before you post in Edmodo)
  • Description explaining and describing each Design
  • Explanation of how the designs will be a part of the unified series
  • Explanation of the dominant Art Principle of Design used in each piece
  • Describe the tools & techniques used within the design, be specific as to if you used Photoshop or Illustrator
  • Identify the focal point used within each work of art.

Part III:
Presentation/ Critique
Final Projects will be presented to the class using the smart board.
Each presentation should last about 3-5 minutes with questions from the audience, make sure you clearly explain your artwork to the class and explain your reflections.
